Wednesday night, the Larkspur City Council upheld the Planning Commission's approval and denied the appeal against our project at 1 Larkspur Plaza Drive. After a few years of research, diligence, design work, and conversations with this community, we're grateful and excited to move forward.

This project started with the simple aim of carrying forward the recreative use case of tennis, swim and social gathering at this location - yet reimagined in a manner that could work at this moment in time.

We’ve learned a lot since we begun and we’re still learning … Though we’ve crossed an important milestone, it is still early in the process and much work lies ahead. And we are committed to continuing engagement with current MTRC members and the broader Larkspur community as we refine the offering set and mix of programming for the future club. We’ll be incorporating feedback and exploring some of the ideas we’ve already received, and we look forward to more input and discussion.

We know a process like this can be contentious, and we're thankful to everyone — supporters and skeptics alike — who showed up, asked questions, and have pushed us to make this plan better. We're grateful - of course - to the Planning Department and City Council for their care and professionalism throughout.

We’ll be sharing more as our next-phase planning takes shape. Our commitment to keep the MTRC open and available to members as long as is feasible remains unchanged. When we’re in a better position to project our own timeline, we will share that information. Thank you for being part of this with us.
